Christian Kindle Book Deals For July 2020

Following up on yesterday's post about audiobook deals, I thought it would be a good idea to find some deals on Kindle books for you. One of my hobbies is helping to equip Christians to do the work of the ministry and to grow in their walk with Christ by connecting them with resources from teachers who will help them accomplish that goal. Posts like this are one way in which I accomplish this. I hope that you find these resources helpful. These Kindle books are not free like the ones I have listed here. However, they are incredibly inexpensive (each of these books are $2.99 or less), and many of these books are likely to change your life.

This is a great resource for those who are just starting to study the Bible. In this short book (it's only 99 pages), author Paul Kent gives you a brief overview of each book of the Bible, along with providing memorable passages and suggested application of the message of each book.

As of today, the Kindle edition of this book is on sale for 88 cents, meaning that you get this book for less than a penny per page. Considering how much information is packed into this short book, this is a very good deal.

The works of A.W. Tozer are considered classics among Christian readers. Tozer was an American pastor whose works have influenced millions of readers.

In this book, Tozer begins by asking us whether or not we even really want to be filled with the Holy Spirit. He then goes on to tell us why we should want to be filled by Him and instructs us on how to be filled with the Spirit. This book has aptly been described as "hard to swallow."

If you are looking for even more deals, you can check out yesterday's post to see an inexpensive audiobook companion to this book.

This book provides a quick overview of Bible study methodology for the lay person. The tips in this book will help empower you to study the Bible more in-depth, thus helping you grow as a Christian. While this is not a one-stop resource for every issue surrounding Bible study methods, it does do a good job of introducing the reader to the Inductive Bible Study Method, which is my preferred Bible study method.

In addition, this book will give you an overview of various tools that will aid in your Bible study, such as Bible commentaries, Bible dictionaries, and concordances. In short, this is designed for the lay person to go deeper in his or her Bible study.

The Imitation of Christ is a classic book written by the German monk Thomas a Kempis. I sometimes choose classic Christian books to read during my devotional time, and one that I picked some time ago was The Imitation of Christ. This book contains incredibly short chapters and is chock-full of comments that will make you stop and think about the Christian life. How well are you imitating Christ?

One of the hot-button issues in our culture today involves homosexuality and how the church should respond and interact with those who self-identify as homosexual. In this short book, the staff of Southern Seminary address this question in the form of a response to Matthew Vines' recent book.

This book addresses the biblical passages surrounding homosexuality, and presents a solid, biblically-based message on this topic.

Francis Chan is one of those modern authors who have touched countless lives with his works. I know that his first book, Crazy Love, changed my life. In Forgotten God, Francis Chan talks about how we as the Church tend to neglect the Holy Spirit. As a result of this, many Christians don't really have a solid understanding of who He is. If you are someone who only has a vague idea of who the Holy Spirit is, then this book is for you.

E.M. Bounds was an attorney and a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. While only two of his books were published before his death in 1913, all of his books have had a tremendous impact on the Church. E.M. Bounds wrote 11 different books, 9 of which were on the subject of prayer. Perhaps no one has written more about the subject of prayer than E.M. Bounds. His books on the subject of prayer are contained in this one volume.

This Christian classic from Josh McDowell has reached over 15 million individuals around the world. In this book, Josh McDowell gives a short, sweet, and to the point defense of Christianity against many of the common objections that modern atheists raise.

If you are someone who wants to learn more about why Christians believe what we believe, then this book is for you. It is not exhaustive, but it does definitely provide an introduction to the reasonableness of the Christian faith. It is also a great evangelism tool.

In this fascinating book, author Warren Wiersbe examines the I Am statements of Jesus. He does this by also exploring the I Am statements of God throughout the Bible--such as Exodus 3:14. He then examines Jesus' claims in light of this.

As a side note, you can also find some great deals on Wiersbe's Be series of commentaries right now. Some are on sale for as low as $0.59, and they are great for preparing Sunday School lessons and other teaching roles in the church.
